Our goal is to grow spiritually healthy families in and through RHO. We would like to foster a new generation that has an active relationship with God and who are looking for ways to bring the kingdom of God here.
We believe that to grow spiritually healthy families, parents must be equipped to be the primary nurturers of their kids’ faith [Deuteronomy 6], that the faith community needs to play a supportive role in this endeavor [Ephesians 40], and that we must remain dependent on the Holy Spirit to bring about spiritual growth and formation when and as He chooses [Philippians 2:13].
WHAT WE TEACH
Our curriculum is a dynamic, spiritually-forming, and family-empowered ministry philosophy that offers a vibrant weekend experience, as well as other family resources that meet the specific needs of today’s generation. Our curriculum is uniquely developed to inspire, equip, and support parents and volunteers/leaders in their ministry to children.
Our Families Team strongly believes that spiritual development can and should begin from the earliest age with parents as the primary nurturers of their children’s faith. With this in mind, our resources support both the church and home with a focus on knowing God personally, igniting a passion for Christ, learning to listen to his Spirit, keeping Biblical content true to context, and cultivating a concern for people’s needs in our communities and the world.
We are inviting all families to come play, eat, get to know other families, and maybe put a face together with a parent to their kids and vice versa. We will have some sports equipment available to play ultimate frisbee, soccer, kickball, or a large game of tag. This is designed for families with small kids and upwards. Please contact Nicole Jahne if interested in helping.
