Who Leads RHO? – RH Orange

Who Leads RHO?

First and foremost, we want God to lead RHO. Sounds like the obvious answer…but this simple statement informs our posture in leadership. In essence, our leaders’ role is to seek God, to see where He is moving, to follow Him, and to bring others with them.

RH Orange is directed and led by Campus Pastor Pete Shambrook. Together with his wife Patti, Pete serves on the Elder Team and seeks God’s direction for the Orange campus as a whole.

One thing we’ve learned is that ministry is not meant to be carried alone. From the RH Elder Team to our staff structure to our serve teams within each ministry, RHO is led by teams. This provides stronger leadership through stability, complementary strengths and weaknesses, decisions made with broader perspective, and greater accountability.

In addition to Pete and Patti, our staff also includes Nick Kinnier [equipping & community life],  Kaylee Wronski [Admin & Ministry Assistant], Shelby Eirich  [family ministries], Patti Shambrook [families associate], and Ashly Gonzalez [involvement]. One of the staff’s primary roles is to raise up, train, and empower volunteers at our campus.

Every ministry and team at RHO has at least one volunteer leader at the helm. Our dedicated team of volunteers and leaders are the heartbeat of our church. They pray, serve and help shoulder the practical and spiritual weight of this wonderful community.

We believe that every follower of Jesus has a role to play in God’s Kingdom. Each person is uniquely made and equipped for the ministry that God has put before us. From the early days, we’ve been a church led largely by people simply stepping into their role as ministers of Jesus.

In fact, if you’ve been to a weekend celebration or any other gathering of our community, you were virtually surrounded by the leaders of RHO, and not because we have a large paid staff. As we’ve added to our staff, the primary charge given to each is to equip, lead, and support volunteer leaders, ministers and teams. We invite you to find your place in this community and to step into the unique role that God has called you to.
